Pennsylvania Governor's School
The Governor’s Schools experience is a free five week summer program on a college campus in one of eight interest areas. Juniors and Sophomores may apply for Agricultural Sciences at PSU University Park; Arts at Mercyhurst; and Global Entrepreneurship at Lehigh University. Juniors only may apply for Health Care at University of Pittsburgh; Information, Society and Technology at Drexel University; International Studies at University of Pittsburgh; Sciences at Carnegie Mellon; and Teaching at Millersville. The programs run from June 29 until August 2 or from June 22 through July 26. All related info and applications can be accessed at www.pgse.org. Talk to your guidance counselor if you have questions. Application deadlines are normally in early to mid-January.
Daniel Fox Youth Scholar Institute
Students can test drive the college experience at the Daniel Fox Youth Scholar Institute held at Lebanon Valley College Residential Program for High School Students June 22-27, 2008. A variety of programs are available. Visit www.lvc.edu/youth-scholars.
College Admissions Night for Parents of Juniors

The guidance department will host a college admissions night for parents of juniors to share our perspective of the college admissions process and resources available in our career room including a timeline of college related tasks to accomplish by the end of junior year. There will be ample time for questions at the end.
Financial Aid Night

Ms. Yolanda Beatty from Penn State York will walk us through the financial aid process that all students and parents must go through in order to receive state or federal aid. There will be ample time for questions at the end.
