Any money awarded for the scholarships for the most part can be used at any college that the student chooses.
Rotary Youth Exchange
Rotary in York is looking for students who are interested in a short-term exchange - spending their summer vacation abroad. As a short-term outbound, students spend three to eight weeks in another country with a host family. The experience often includes touring, as well as just hanging out with kids your own age. Because the short-term exchange is reciprocal, your host brother or sister visits here just like you visit them in their country, and it is usually scheduled to accommodate the summer vactions of both students. The exchange requires a sponsoring Rotary club in each country, and students are selected on the basis of a written application and interview process. More information can be asscessed at or www.exchangestudent.org. Questions may be directed to Bert at the Rotary Office 848-1370 or bert@yorkrotary.org.
