YCMA Meetings
Meetings of the York Catholic Music Association take place the 2nd Thursday of the month throughout the school year in the York Catholic faculty dining room (Room 4) at 6:30 PM. Dates are listed on the school calendar as they are scheduled. The meetings usually last approximately one hour and everyone's input and feedback are welcomed and appreciated. Your help in planning and implementing the efforts of the YCMA are critical. If you are not able to attend but wish to become more involved and are not able to make the meetings, please feel free to contact Steve Schmidt at anytime at slaschmidt@comcast.net or 717-515-7768.
Our next meeting is Thursday, February 9 at 6:30 PM in Room 4.

Concessions Volunteers Needed
The York Catholic Music Association receives necessary funding from selling concessions at home basketball games during the winter months (for jv. girls, jv. boys, v. boys). YCHS students may receive service hours by volunteering to help at basketball concessions on Tuesday evenings and on Saturdays. Parents, please encourage your students to sign up and help YCMA and receive service hours.
The concession stand is set up BEFORE the JV game. Please come as soon as you are able. Clean up is in the 2nd half of the Varsity game. You are free to watch the rest of the game, or leave.
It is NOT necessary to have volunteer clearance paperwork to help with the concession stand.
We also need your help in supplying baked goods and hot food to supplement the hot dogs, candy, soda and water currently on the concession stand menu. Any goodies or hot dishes (homemade or otherwise) are most welcome. Some examples we've had lately are pork BBQ, and meatball sandwiches. Cookies, brownies, cupcakes would be great too.
For those new to the music program or the school, this is a prime time to get to know other families, as well as fulfill service requirements.

SANDWICH SALE
It is time for another Sammy Sandwich Fundraising sale to support the bands and choirs of York Catholic. All proceeds from this Sammy Sandwich Winter Freeze sale will go to the YC Music Association to purchase music & equipment as necessary, maintain & repair school-owned instruments & sound equipment, and to provide bus transportation funding for YC bands and choirs for all future endeavors off campus. Your support is greatly appreciated!

All sandwiches cost $4, payable at the time of pick-up (cash or check payable to YCMA please). Sandwich orders to be picked up on Wed. Feb 1, 2012 from 3:00 PM until 5:30 PM.
A parent is needed to pick up the sandwich order from Continental Foods on Wed. Feb. 1, 2012 & deliver the goods to the school cafeteria. We will also need several parent volunteers to help fill the sandwich orders and wait on customers the afternoon of Wed. Feb 1, 2012, between 2:00 PM and 5:30 PM. If you cannot work the whole time, partial shifts are possible as well.
